No manual adjustment is required : the user remains focused on assistance, not on mechanics.
The SafeWinch complies with ISO 10542 for wheelchair tie-down and occupant restraint systems (WTORS). The system has been designed to simplify and secure wheelchair tie-down in adapted vehicles. This innovative solution reduces the effort required from the caregiver while ensuring reliable and automated strap tensioning.

Everyday Use
Entering the Vehicle
Position the wheelchair at the bottom of the ramp.
Press OUT to unwind the straps, then attach them to the wheelchair.
Press IN to start the ascent while guiding the movement until the wheelchair reaches almost its final position.
Secure the rear tie-down.
Press IN again until the straps are fully tensioned.
Fasten the occupant’s seatbelt.
For the rear tie-down, we recommend using manual straps adjusted to the correct length. Once the rear tie-down is secured, the SafeWinch takes over and automatically tensions the front straps. The LED flashes twice to confirm proper tensioning. When the rear door or tailgate is closed, the SafeWinch automatically deactivates and locks into its final position.
Exiting the Vehicle
Press the OUT button for a few seconds to slightly release the tension and make it easier to remove the hook from the rear tie-down.
Remove the rear straps, then continue lowering the wheelchair using the OUT button while manually guiding the movement.
